Cell Therapy Project Manager

Belly Koren holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Food Engineering and Biotechnology from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.

Belly has over 15 years of extensive experience in the cell and Gene therapy industry. At her former position at MultiGene Vascular Systems (MGVS) she managed the pre-clinical studies and the clinical manufacturing in Israel and in USA, established quality assurance and quality control systems, led product manufacturing improvements and characterization, managed technology transfer to the US, design and operation of the cGMP clean facility, and played a key role in the regulatory affairs with the MoH, FDA and EMA.

At her former position at Medgenics Medical she was head of QA department and overseen Phase I & II clinical production in Israel and in USA. Belly has established the QA management system in the company for the combinational product (tissue and gene therapy in combination with medical devices), ensured product manufacturing in compliance with regulatory requirements, performed internal and external audits, improved workflow, was responsible for product release and training of employees, and took part in the regulatory efforts with the MoH and FDA.

During her work in Gsap Belly took part in Projects in the following companies: Kadimastem, Bethalin, Hadassah hESC Center ,Cytora, Brainstorm, Pluristem, BioGenCell, Bonus BioGroup, SplitImmunity, Minovia, Cell Therapy GMP production facility in Sheba,  and Ivory Graft.
